Everyone likes to share their opinion. With the news that a few players will be skipping their team’s exhibition bowl games to concentrate on their NFL future, arguments for and against the players’ decisions have been coming in from all over.

This is a business decisions for the player, one that he has every right to make. Students go to college to prepare themselves for a career, and if the player feels he has already put in the work to show his readiness for a career in the NFL, one more game will not affect that status. The players have decided the potential risk is too high, and I cannot blame them.  College coaches have no problem advancing their career by skipping their team’s bowl games and taking higher paying, more prestigious job.  Let’s give the players the same latitude.
